Women’s Mental Health Fellowship
The fellowship in Women’s Mental Health at Brigham & Women’s Hospital (BWH), a teaching affiliate of Harvard Medical School, provides exciting subspecialty training opportunities for residents interested in the ways sex and gender can exert a major influence on the course, expression and treatment of psychiatric disorders. The purpose of the fellowship is to train expert clinicians in the psychiatric care of women, and in the assessment and treatment of psychiatric symptoms linked with female reproductive cycle transitions.
Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis beginning in September until the position is filled.

Psycho-Oncology Research Fellowship
The Department of Psychosocial Oncology and Palliative Care at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute now offers a 2-year research fellowship opportunity. Psychiatrists and psychologists interested in psycho-oncology research, including in relation to women’s mental health and cancer survivorship, are encouraged to apply. The goal of this fellowship is develop the necessary skills to advance independent investigators in psycho-oncology. HMS Division of Medicine Pre-Doctoral Fellowship
The Harvard Medical School Division of Sleep Medicine currently has at least two research fellowship positions in sleep, circadian, and respiratory neurobiology available for pre-doctoral students.
Fellows will have the opportunity to work with a large variety of clinical or basic research programs and renowned faculty in areas such as the neural regulation of sleep, circadian biology, learning and sleep, mathematical modeling, genetics, and the physiology and treatment of narcolepsy and sleep apnea.
The Division of Sleep Medicine includes over 100 faculty members addressing many cutting edge questions in sleep and circadian rhythms. The Training Program emphasizes career development leading to research independence and provides a competitive stipend. We strongly encourage applications from women and minority candidates.

Clinical Research Coordinators
WHARP occasionally has opportunities for Clinical Research Coordinators. Our CRCs are full-time employees of Brigham and Women’s Hospital and are responsible for implementing research protocols, including recruiting study participants, conducting telephone screens, running study visits, entering and analyzing data, managing regulatory compliance, and assisting with grant submissions, manuscript preparation, and poster presentations. Usually, CRCs work for about two years with WHARP between college and attending graduate or medical school.

Research Trainees
Research Trainees are unpaid volunteers who work at Brigham and Women’s Hospital for 15-25 hours/week for 3-4 months in order to gain exposure to and skills in clinical research. Trainees often are current college students interested in pursuing careers in psychology, medicine, or public health. Trainees work closely with a Clinical Research Coordinator and the Project Manager to learn how to recruit study participants, to collect and enter data in electronic databases, and to observe study visits. Research Trainees also attend weekly lab meetings and other talks and seminars around the Hospital, as appropriate. Some Research Trainees have an opportunity to extend their assignment, to work on an independent project, and to arrange to receive course credit through their college.
